Moves to hold regular “Farmer’s Markets” in Main Street North Tamborine are progressing
Moves to hold regular “Farmer’s Markets” in Main Street North Tamborine are progressing said Steven Vawdrey, Managing Director of Mt Tamborine Marketing this week.
“Mt Tamborine Marketing continues to work with the Scenic Rim Council to ensure the Main Street Markets are a safe and secure weekly event – and one that benefits the community greatly,” said Mr Vawdrey.
Steven Vawdrey said that their plans have been developed over the past three months and the local firm has employed a specialist consultant to develop the Main Street markets.
“Mariah Graveling will oversee the market development into the future, expanding our ability to focus on other sustainable Cultural Development projects within our region.”
Mr Vawdrey said that the project is now approaching final compliance with Council. “We will begin engaging the public and retailers for feedback and ideas to ensure these small markets will benefit the broader community,” said Mr Vawdrey.
“When compliance is met with Council, we will also release the anticipated date for the Main Street Markets launch. The aim is to increase regional awareness, local employment and cultural identity for our great Mountain.
Gina Dignam convener of the local traders group “Main Street Village” said “While we are not currently working together, we will have discussions to see if we can find common ground.”
